You can’t have failed to notice the Ice Bucket Challenge nominations that have been sweeping the globe in recent weeks, and we knew it was only a matter of time before the Boxed Red team would have to take the plunge.

We’re a philanthropic lot at Boxed Red and love nothing more than having fun in the name of charity. We’ve got an ongoing swear box (the proceeds are donated to a local charity), we’ve run the Tatton Yuletide Yomp in aid of East Cheshire Hospice and have spent Christmas with the lovely folk at Contact the Elderly.

So when our friends at Intelligent Mobile and Euan’s Guide nominated us as part of the challenge, we were more than happy to take the bait.

We learned more about Motor Neurone Disease recently when we worked with Euan MacDonald, who was diagnosed with this condition in 2003. We worked on the branding and website to launch the innovative Euan’s Guide website that empowers people with accessibility needs to visit new venues without the ‘fear of the unknown’.

Only the bravest members of the Boxed Red team were happy to take the challenge and the company has made a donation to the MND Association.
