Our Five Friday Favourites…

[column_three_quarter]

The weekend is fast approaching and we thought we’d celebrate by sharing a few things we’ve loved this week – read on for our Five Friday Favourites!

1. A TOP TIP TO TRY TODAY

Load up your website with seasonal search terms

The clocks haven’t even gone back yet but Christmas and Black Friday are firmly on the horizon.

Econsultancy has shared a great tip that can help you capitalise on these lucrative times of year, simply by updating the content on your website.

For example, having your Black Friday or festive landing pages live all year round means they’ll instantly rank more highly when that time of year comes around.

2. A PRODUCT WE’RE COVETING

A swoon-worthy stationery subscription box

Technically we’re cheating as Shelley, our Copywriter already subscribes to Papergang. But everyone else covets her new notebooks, pens, cards and washi tape, so we’re including it anyway.

Papergang is a monthly subscription box stuffed full of papery products including exclusive prints from independent designers, posh notebooks and pens you’ll want to protect.

Each box is themed and includes brand new products from the designers featured on Ohh Deer, it’s a £9.95 treat that you’ll look forward to every month.

3. SOME OF OUR OWN WORK

Straight to the point advertising campaign

We’re really proud of how this bespoke advertising campaign for KDE Limited turned out!

Our client wanted to generate more leads using hyper local advertising, so we had to make sure the creative had stand out against the competitors in the same publications.

Not only did the creative jump off the page, KDE Limited experienced a fantastic increase in enquiries as a result!

4. SOMEONE ELSE’S AMAZING WORK

Bringing ghost signs back to life

If you happen to be in London tonight or tomorrow, keep your eyes peeled for this fantastic installation that meticulously brings faded ghost signs back to life.

Experiential designer Craig Winslow has been working with the Ghostsigns project to uncover the history behind some of these beautiful works of art, and using extreme patience and projection mapping to restore them to their former glory.

The signs are illuminated between 8pm and 10pm and all you have to do to catch a glimpse is find them!

5. SOMETHING TOTALLY RANDOM

The animals went in brick by brick

LEGO certainly makes us feel nostalgic for rainy afternoons surrounded by piles of colourful bricks and the grating noise of tiny hands raking through plastic to find the perfect piece.

Were you a freestyler? Or did you prefer to follow careful instructions to create your masterpieces? This artist has combined both techniques to build absolutely amazing animals out of LEGO!

We love the cheeky orang-utan and the colourful macaw – are they enough to get you rooting through the attic for your old bricks?
