Discovering that every single branch of the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB) is run as an individual registered charity came as a surprise to the Boxed Red team.
The Oldham arm of the national initiative was the one to break the news and explain that they currently run on minimal funding, generous donations from the public and businesses and a host of volunteers who give their valuable time and expertise to delivering a wide range of services to the community.
Boxed Red has donated its creative services to develop a concept that rebrands Oldham CAB as a stand-alone charity, and helps communicate the ways in which people can get involved with the organisation and support their local community.
Chief executive of Oldham CAB, Jonathan Yates, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled with the number of people turning to us for advice, and we so appreciate the volunteers who are working with us to provide professional, expert advice on a range of topics, we just need more of them.
“The next step is for us to boost our profile in the Oldham community, and demonstrate the ways in which people can help us continue providing this professional and valuable service. And we are very appreciative that Boxed Red has offered its support to help us achieve this.”
Janna Caley, managing director at Boxed Red, said:
