6 ideas for a successful Christmas campaign

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! But it’s not the time to sit back and accept that December will be a quiet month for your business, it’s not too late to maximise the opportunities that Christmas can bring.

There’s not much time left, so here are a few ideas you could get started on today…

Christmas is for giving

Why not surprise your customers with a gift this Christmas? It is the season of giving, after all! Try to think of unusual ways of creating a buzz around your business.

Here at Boxed Red, for example, we have recorded a special Christmas song for our customers to download! We’re not sure whether they will thank us just yet, but it’s definitely something different to get us remembered. You can listen to the (terrible but funny) track for yourself by clicking here.

At this time of year it is easy to get caught in the sea of ‘sameness’ so an extra little gift can make your brand stand out from your competition.

Tell a story

Gifts don’t have to cost a lot of money, your customers might thank you for your professional knowledge at this time of year. Why not write a blog about the tips for surviving the Christmas period in your industry, you could even use this very blog for inspiration!

Get creative

Show your customers how special they are by sending them a nice Christmas card in the post. There’s not much time left before the last posting dates this year, but we love a challenge at Boxed Red, and our efficient design and artworking process might mean we can squeeze something in for you in the next week or so.

Get personal

It’s nice to be acknowledged as more than a number in a mass email broadcast, so why not personalise your festive email campaign and wish everyone Merry Christmas by name?

A well thought out, personalised email campaign can give your customers an emotional connection with your brand, which in turn might help them choose you over your competitors!

Capture your customers’ attention

There are many ways in which you can stand out from the crowd over the Christmas period. You could arrange a charitable donation and create a warm feeling for both your staff and your customers. It’s also a great way to show your customers you care and let everyone see what a great company they are involved with.

Improve your advertising success

Make sure that you maximise the reach of your festive advertising by creating a strong call to action and motivate your customers to purchase your products and services. The key to campaign success is using a tracking method, create a bespoke URL, QR code or discount code to help you analyse the results that are so important for your success.
