About the role

We are looking for a talented web developer that has a keen interest in web development with some (if any) commercial experience.

You’ll begin by working closely with our senior developer on existing clients – tasks could vary from simple text changes to a project of your own.

We don’t expect you to know it all and questions will be encouraged to help you develop your skills as much as possible. All we ask for in return is a can-do attitude and professional work ethic.

Essential Skills/Knowledge

• HTML5
• Some PHP Exposure
• Knowledge of WordPress and theme development
• CSS / SASS / LESS
• Javascript (jQuery)
• Mobile up / cross platform development and a good understanding of responsive design
• Understanding performance and optimisation – we want stuff to look great but load fast too
• A strong eye and attention to detail – we aim to make things as close to pixel perfect as possible.
• Either Photoshop or Sketch experience – top marks for both…
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Basic SEO practices
• Mac literate

Desirable

• Gulp/Grunt task automators
• Any Git / SVN or subversion exposure
• Use of responsive frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap – We don’t use them, its just good to know.
• Knowledge of other CMS’s – e.g. Magento, Umbraco
• More advanced SEO practices
