Digital Content Executive

About the role

We are looking for a Digital Content Executive to join the team. This role entails the creation and management of engaging content for all digital elements of both Boxed Red’s marketing and our clients’ marketing plans. This includes management of all website content, blogs, social media (organic and paid, including media buying and scheduling) and digital PR across a broad variety of brands, businesses and audiences. You will also be responsible for the tracking, analysis and reporting of all activity and campaigns.

Although this role entails working with all other teams within the agency, it does require a strong ability to plan ahead, meet strict deadlines and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of digital campaigns for all of Boxed Red’s varied clients including proactively planning, uploading, monitoring, editing, managing and reporting on all campaigns ensuring client targets are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of all Social Media Channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Working with PPC lead Creating and disseminating email campaigns
  • Onsite SEO and working with SEO lead
  • Updating our client’s WordPress websites on an adhoc basis and working with developers and designers to improve the user experience of theseDeliver forward-thinking, commercial and imaginative plans that will not only ensure our clients continued level of performance but take their digital presence to a whole other level
  • Evaluate the performance of all digital campaigns, with monthly analysis, reporting and optimisation plans
  • Manage digital campaign budgets effectively and efficiently
  • Identify trends and new technology to help our clients stay ahead of the competition
  • Provide new and creative ideas for digital campaigns
  • Effective and confident contribution to team meetings and the pitch and sales process
  • Consistently accurate independent administration, budgeting and time management.


  • Experience of delivering and monitoring digital marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement and conversion/lead generation
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an agency environment
  • Experience of direct client contact would be a benefit
  • Proven track record in customer engagement through online media
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing and reporting on all digital campaigns including PPC, Social Media, SEO and ECRM
  • B2B, as well as B2C experience, would be a benefit
  • Ability to profile, target and engage with clients defined target audiences

  • Proven ability to put self into the customer’s shoes and represent their views wants and needs whilst balancing internal commerciality and business needs/drivers/priorities.
  • Ability to profile, target and engage with clients defined target audiences

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident and experienced copywriter
  • Excellent IT skills
  • IT and Mac proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Mac Mail
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) – desirable

Other Requirements

  • Able to work as part of a team, as well as working using your own initiative
  • Multi-task, work quickly and manage a workload that will vary from day to day
  • A genuine interest in marketing for a variety of clients
  • Previous agency experience is necessary
  • 2-3 years’ digital marketing experience
